This term i took a course called "Personality Psychology". It's very interesting and also very difficult. The most important goal of Personality Psychology is to study how people differs each others in many aspects. It tries to identify and study the factors that causes one person to behave, feel and think differently from another person. The most controversy element of Personality Psychology is that there is not a single theory accepted. There are a lot of theories and methods, so the answers that satisfy one researcher usually differs from the answers to the same question that satisfy another reaseacher of personality psychology. There are several approaches that nowadays are very popular in the study of personality, and all of them have importantly influenced the way we think about personality. The most important approaches today are: psychodinamic, humanistic-existencial, biological research, and behavoriest and social cognitive.

psychoanalysis

Last year I have found psychoanalysis, and since that, I am more and more interesting in it. I really enjoy studying topics related to it, and i hope to study harder and more profoundly psycnoanalysis -in a near future. Psychoanalysis is only one of the thousand psychological theories, but i think that it is the most interesting and important. It was created by S. Freud. It seeks to found connections between the unconscious elements and what the patient says. The goal of psychoanalysis is to liberate the patient from unconscious barriers that causes conflicts and problems. Actually, psychoanalysis is a 'little' more complex. I'm really interesting in unconscious life, and psychoanalysis is the only theory that pays attention to it. When I discovered this theory i was surprised by the little knowledge that i believed i had about me. Now, after beeing study (a little) psychoanalysis i think there are millions and millions of elements and situations that i can't handle with, and that my mental conscious is only a little point of that millions of elements.

THis site contains a excellent history of psychoanalysis since Freud discovered it. It's excellent to know more about teachers and students of Freud.

Last weekend i went to Mac to see an exposition of brazilian art. It was very funny, because it was 'modern art', this means, they pasted, writed, etc., wathever thay have found in their life. So, it was like a museum of horror, with bones, toys, lights and home videos mixed all of them in one room (there was several rooms). In one room there was a huge mirror, and i didn't knew that it was a mirror, so i continued walking and i was very very near to hurt myself.
I went to some friend's house to watch "El verano de Kikujiro". I have seen it almost three times, but even so, i like it like the first time i saw it. Then I went with my friend to buy some stuff for her sister's birthday, then we watched another movie with another friend and then we participated in the party of her litle sister (she is very young), so it was very funny. I missed old times, and i remembered when i was young and so on. Monday was holiday, so i slept about 10 hours. I wake up, almost at lunch time, so i went to a restaurant to buy something. Then i took a nap, i tried to study but i didn't study anything.

This is the"famous and official" website of University Paris VII that is specialized in psychoanalysis. They have a lot of courses of psychoanalys and information about how-to postule and join to it.Also this university is home of very great minds like: J. Miller, Althusser.

Here i am again. This time, the assignment is to talk about some music band. I have choose the song "Noah's Ark" of Cocorosie. I have accidentally discovered this band, i listened one song and then i can't stop to listen it every day. I really like it. I don't listened to lyrics, i like the sounds. The sounds of toys and weird machines. Toy pianos and music dolls. I like it. All song of them are only noise, a lots pf different and beautiful noises. I have chose a random song, because the important thing here is not the lyrics, is the noise of sound.

Hello

I'm Alejandro. A student of University of Chile. I have created this blog because Chelsea, our miss, told us to create one as a new method of evaluation. Every week I will do a new homework that i will post here for Chelsea. It's very interesting to do task in this new form, because all of our task are usually boring.

Here is a little about me: I like to read psychoanalyse, literature and poetry. I like very mucho Huidobro, Rodigro Lira and E.E Cummings. I listen to music a lot, too. I like Cocorosie, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Erlend Oye, Violeta Parra, Cat power and others. I also like cinema, i'm a very fan of Takeshi Kitano.
