The Final Assignment!

This year our English teacher Chelsea encourages us to create a blog as a new method or technique of evaluation and learning. This is a very original idea, because in our times is more and more important to know how to use and learn about new technologies. Also, this a kind of subversion to the traditional learning techniques of the classroom. To use a blog aids on the construction of fun and interesting courses.

At first, it was very difficult to adapt to this new technique, because I only knew about the teacher-centric model of education. It took me time to learn about the elements of a blog and tenchiques. Our teacher every week gave us a new homework to do: to write on our blog about something frequently related to our career. This was very useful, because when she allowed us to write about our interests I think we felt more and more motivated to do homeworks, and this correlates as a increases of English learning. The comments that Chelsea wrote in our blogs were very useful and stimulating, because it gave us feedback one-on-one. It was great also because we have a lot of work and extra-work from our university course, and with whis kind of homework we were free to do it not strictly the same day: we could do someday of the week.

I think that blogs and other multimedia are very useful techniques in the classroom as learning techniques. They are new of course, and so on, they need to be experimented and tested for we to know if we can increase a better learning of English. I think there are no doubts about it. The step from a teacher-centered education to a student-centered education is great, I think that It is better in all senses.
